They? I won’t tell you a name but I had trouble with this outfit or person before and would not do any kind of business with him. If you want to contact me directly I will give you the information.

I subscribed to something he had and they started charging me $?? a month. I tried to stop it and they would not do it. I called and wrote and emailed but it continued till I canceled the credit card.

I have tried to stop his email also to no avail and got one today with another “too good to be true” offer, so I decided to let you in on this again. Some of these guru’s never stop. Silvie Fortin wrote about this very thing and I quoted her in this post, Silvie’s site is here.

Now you can see below that they say “I am under no obligation to continue my membership and I can cancel at any time”. Just try to cancel and see what happens. I would bet they do to you what they did to me, so this is just a warning!

I got this email today with a link to an offer that sounds good, but is it? They tell me it is a lifetime offer, one price forever. I click on the pay now and paypal comes up but what does it say? Take a look, first the order button window in bold.

I have changed names and what this is for but you can see why I have a problem with this. In one year will I be charged another $37 and maybe not even notice it on my paypal account. Now I didnot follow through with the payment which then should show a subscription if it truely is a recurring payment transaction.

I am maybe too cautious but have been scammed too many times and try not to let it happen again. I am learning from others how I want to not treat others. Let’s work together to create a good reputation for us internet marketers.

How Not To Do Business

I have talked here before about business practice’s and how they can affect us. This just happened this morning and I find it hard to believe but it did, I have the emails to prove it.

I won’t give a name or website but here is the emails. The first is my email to him.

Mr.Blank,
I called and left you a message but this will be better.
I watched your video about ??? on ???? and you said $7 but
the checkout is for $39.
Let me know if you are selling for $7 I will buy it.

Now let me say, this guy is right on top of getting back to me.
He wrote back-

Well, in the video on the site that you sent me the link
to this morning you said $7.

And this was his answer-
It's an old video.

Now I thought it was a mistake on the site, he said he couldn’t believe he was selling it for $7 and I always figured a man’s word was good to go. If he is advertising on a video is should be as good as in person. If it is an old video then it should be replaced or should be true.

What is the chance of me doing business with man in the future? Pretty Slim, and I will probably block his email.

If we are doing business on the web it takes some diligence to keep our websites current and sometimes we might have to make amends. Our customer only knows what he or she sees and hears on the site.

Sometimes I have to make things right on my online store – Oregon Street Candle Co. but that is business.

UpDate on “I could have written This”

The former post about I could have written this but not as good has an ongoing story from me.
In that message I had just closed the credit card account to stop a company from continuing to charge me on an account that they said they had closed. Today I got an email that they had charged the card again but it was denied, of course it was since the credit card was gone.
But after I had the account closed I contacted the company again and they assured me the membership was closed and no more charges would be made.
That whole thing goes right along with what Silvie Fortin said that I quoted in the previous post.
